To ensure that students and families understand the college admissions process, and feel well-supported throughout the process.
To counsel properly so that every component of the application process is strong and represents the student in the best possible manner.
To recommend a balanced list of colleges from the following perspectives: academic, social, financial, and extracurricular.
To provide robust insight into a student’s interests, and help them consider potential careers and the educational path needed for that work.
We begin by getting to know your student’s individual personality, interests, needs, and goals. We engage in individualized four-year planning and coaching, and meet with your family throughout high school to adjust these plans as your student’s needs evolve.
From freshman year onward, we work with our clients to plan their high school curriculum, tailoring each plan to their interests, college aspirations and career goals. We help students access extracurricular and volunteer opportunities, develop testing plans, and research schools and majors.
Our strategy is continuously refined to align with our students because we work to get know them well. All of that starts with understanding who they are (through personal reflection exercises) and to assess their needs and goals. Ultimately, we work to craft college applications that showcase a balance of academics, activities and personal development, and shine a light on those aspects of a student that might lie behind the statistics or quantitative metrics.
Once the admissions cycle begins, we hands-on assistance working with your student on every step of the application process. We manage all elements of the process and collaborate with your student in completing each component. Our proven difference lies in finding a student’s story and telling it well, and empowering our clients to confidently put their best foot forward as they complete their applications.
We specialize in working with students through each step of the writing process to create authentic personal essays that get to the heart of each student’s story.
